Day 360: fruit-studded tender comfort

An imaginary vacation from the blanket of snow and freezing temperatures that hugged tight to the scenery around us, to the sights and smells of a distant souk, with vibrant spices, nuts and dried fruits and beautiful tapestries and colourful textiles as far as the eye could see (I could even smell that intoxicating sun-on-skin pheromone that your skin gives off as it warms in the glowing sun). Day 360 is Nigella’s Slow-Cooker Moroccan Chicken Stew; a delicate, warmly spiced, fruit-studded bowl of tender comfort.

Didn’t have golden sultanas, so I used regular; then I found a pouch of soft dried apricots in the baking cupboard, so I snipped a few of them in too. Turned leftovers into a soup, more on that another day.
