Day 223: it looks like pizza

It looks like pizza. It smells like pizza. But it sings more like a juicy (flattened) polpetonne, dressed in vibrant tomato and bronzed mozarella (accessorised with a little green), which is essentially exactly what it is: Day 223 is Nigella’s Meatzza.

Ate with with a creamy-dressed mixed, strong/bitter-leaf salad.

I can also tell you that a slice of it warmed up and wedged into a ciabatta roll, with a little extra cheese and some rocket, makes for some superb late-night suppering when the house is sleeping and you're all alone. I've recently discovered it's #NationalPizzaDay tomorrow - not that I ever follow or know when these national something days are, except for Pancake Day and Fat Thursday (hello, pączki) - and I think Meatzza very much deserves some time in the spotlight for it.
