Day 250: slime time

My children - and kitchen! - looked like they'd been through an episode of Nickelodeon's Slime Time Live by the end of lunchtime, but the bright smiles and teeth beaming through their green slime-covered chops were well worth the not-so-express mop up: Day 250 is Nigella’s Pea and Pesto Soup. Plus a few freshly baked petits pains (not homemade) on the side for dunking and mopping assistance. A gorgeous lunch.

Nigella’s Pea and Pesto Soup

I had a few spoons of pesto left over from a recent batch I made for N's Green Beans with Pistachio Pesto (Nigellisima), so I used this in combination with a few spoons of fresh, shop-bought pesto.
