Day 251: happy easter
I kept the use of my volatile oven to a minimum over the Easter weekend, delivering the feast’s sweet treats as these little bundles of joy: Day 251 is Nigella’s Easter Nets. Of course, they can only be as good as the chocolate you use, so I did splash out and melt down a combination of our favourites. And, it’s normally always the pastel-hued mini eggs for me, but - despite the fact they’ve been for sale on the shelves since Boxing Day! - they were all out of stock when I did my shop last week. Unfortunately, my wisdom tooth has been pushing through all weekend and so I wasn’t able to partake in these joys (pain-free, anyway!). However, it was more than joyful watching the kids crunch in with ever-widening chocolate smiles spreading across their faces.
I hope you all had the most lovely weekend with your friends and families. Apart from the odd post, I took a much-needed break from social media and from spending too much time on my phone. I’ll post about the cookalong recipes I cooked for the Easter feasting over the next few days (ALL the sides to our Easter Sunday Dinner were Nigellan!)
Nigella’s Easter Nests

The recipe for these can be found on p231 of How To Be A Domestic Goddess and on nigella.com (link below). Also a good way of putting to use the glut of chocolate eggs your kids - and yourselves! - may have received for Easter. I’m rather fond of the cornflake edition, though I may wait a few days until my tooth’s finished hunting for wisdom.
