Day 262: a warm embrace

It’s flu central here - we’re all thick and heavy with it! - and very little soothes sore throats and comforts aching bodies like the warm, gentle embrace of a hot broth: Day 262 is the last of my Easter turkey soup (from the freezer) with Nigella’s Kneidlach.

It’s also quite different getting sick now, with a handful of toddlers to parent. (And even more of a challenge when they’re sick, too.) Gone are those recuperation sofa days and Netflix binges; hello yoyoying temperatures, copious amounts of snot to mop up and end-of-world tantrums to pacify. Wouldn’t change it.

Nigella's Kneidlach

I’d never had kneidlach before tonight. They are SO good! I used goose fat for these.

The recipe for the Kneidlach can be found in Bites.
