Day 306: restorative goodness

Soul-lifting, body-soothing restorative goodness: everything needed after a month of consecutive back-to-school/nursery bugs passed on to us by lovely germ harbouring children. The children are now fully recovered, until the next one, while we still suffer with a new ache and pain every day. The honeymoon period is definitely over!

Day 306 is Nigella’s Butternut and Chickpea Soup with Bulgur Wheat. How this one has evaded me for so long I have no idea. I’m also thrilled because I’ve finally found a way of getting preserved lemons into a meal without pushback from hubby; I adore them, but he does not. This, however, he loved. And the kids wolfed down several bowlfuls too.
